We have participated in factory and showroom trip in Mettlach, Germany with the special invitation of Villeroy&Boch’s İzmir branch in June 2016. First stop of our trip was the cute little country of Luxembourg. After a city tour with all of the participants in Luxembourg where we stayed one night, we ended our day with a pleasant dinner. For the second day, we have arrived to Villeroy & Boch’s castle Schloss Saareck in Mettlach for our overnight stay. This magnificent castle was built in 1903 and has been used to accomodate Villeroy & Boch’s special guests and have their dinner parties since 1954. To talk about this deluxe castle by Schloss Saareck, we can say that it is the only building located in a wide woodland. Every room inside the castle is designed with a different concept and Villeroy & Boch products were used.
On the second day, a tour to a ceramics museum closeby and showroom tour took place after a visit to the headquarters. After strolling the small and lovely town of Mettlach, we had the chance to visit the Villeroy & Boch Tableware shop and shop there. In the evening, after the dinner at Schloss Saareck, we ended our second day. On the third day, we visited the bathroom and tile factories. Seeing product quality, professionalism and advanced technologies in production proved to us once again how accurate our trust in the brand is. In the afternoon, we had the opportunity to visit the nearby city of Trier. Then, we relieved the tiredness of the day at the Auberge de la Klauss restaurant in Montenach. On the last day, after breakfast at Schloss Saareck, we prepared for our departure.
We would like to thank Villeroy & Boch family and Fidan Keskin, Izmir branch manager for this lovely invitation.
